Our Educational Programs
Sacred Heart Pre-School Program
The goal of the Sacred Heart Program is to make learning an exciting adventure. We help young children form basic concepts but also nurture creativity. We offer opportunities for growth and stimulation in all areas of development: religious, cognitive, physical, emotional, and social.
Our program is designed to meet the unique needs and abilities of three and four-year-olds. The children are encouraged to explore, create, and learn in natural settings that allow them to be active participants.
Our daily schedule includes "gathering time," religion, learning centers, computer, art, music, games, gross and fine motor activities, and snack.
Full Day Kindergarten
The full-day Kindergarten Program provides our children with activities to enhance their fine and gross motor skills along with auditory, perceptual, and verbal skills. The atmosphere is encouraging to the five-year-old child to explore, grow, and question. Fun activities are experienced along with basic academic skills such as math numeration, time, money, shapes, simple addition and subtraction. A strong reading and writing program with an emphasis on phonics and sight vocabulary is stressed.
The children are offered age-appropriate activities in Fine Arts, Phys. Ed., Computer, and Library on a weekly basis.
Our Kindergarten Religion Program is centered on the love of Jesus and the Holy Family. This concept is integrated into all areas of study through lessons, songs, and participation in school masses and liturgies.
Elementary School
The educational program for Grades 1 through 4 is set and developed with high expectations and standards for achievement. It provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills in the areas of religion, mathematics, reading/language arts, music, science, social studies, physical education, library, and computers.
Middle School
For Grades 5 through 8, our developmental program expands to provide for the development of the adolescent. Along with academic instruction, students participate in art, music, and foreign language to foster an understanding of creative expression. A sports program promotes teamwork and healthy competition with other parochial school.
